Distributed Metrics

Monitor your infrastructure from the real world — not from a data center.

Uptime and performance monitoring from Bitping's global network of real residential and mobile devices. See how your endpoints actually perform for real users, across real ISPs, in real locations.

Protocol Monitoring

Four protocols, thousands of vantage points, one dashboard.

Security

DNS Poisoning Detection

Traditional monitoring checks DNS from a single location. Distributed Metrics resolves your domains from residential networks in dozens of countries simultaneously — making it trivial to detect when results diverge.

Detect DNS manipulation, censorship, and hijacking by comparing resolution results across geographies in real time. If a domain resolves to different addresses in different regions, you'll see it immediately in your dashboard.

This isn't a synthetic check from a clean-room environment. It's what your actual users see, on actual ISPs, in actual countries.

Key Capabilities

Everything you need for distributed monitoring at scale.

Geographic Filtering

Monitor from specific continents, countries, or ISPs. Pin checks to individual nodes if needed.

Network Type Targeting

Choose between residential, mobile, and proxy nodes to match your users' real network conditions.

PromQL-Native

Query your metrics with standard PromQL. Compatible with Grafana and any Prometheus-compatible tooling.

Real-Time Dashboards

Auto-refreshing graphs with 30-second update cycles. Time-series, multi-series, and geographic heat maps.

Configurable Check Intervals

Run checks every 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 15 minutes per endpoint.

Visual or YAML Configuration

Use the form-based editor for quick changes, or switch to the syntax-highlighted YAML editor for full control.

Country-Level Precision

Drill down from country-level choropleth maps to sub-country point-based visualisations with geohash precision.

Alerting

Flexible alert configuration for routing and notification across all your channels.

SaaS

On Bitping SaaS

Provide your alert configuration and Bitping runs the alerting instance for you. Define alert rules against your metrics and route notifications to any supported receiver — no infrastructure to manage.

Self-Hosted

Self-Hosted

Full control. Run your own alert configuration, define custom scrape configs, recording rules, and alerting rules however you want. Integrate with your existing Prometheus stack or use it standalone.

How It Works

From configuration to insight in minutes.

Step 1

Configure

Add your endpoints — URLs, domains, IPs, or stream manifests. Choose protocols, check intervals, and target regions. Use the visual editor or write YAML directly.

Endpoint URLhttps://api.example.com/healthProtocolHTTPCheck Interval60sMethodGETRegionsUSEUAPACHeadersAuthorization: Bearer ••••••••Add Endpoint
Step 2

Collect

Bitping's global network of real residential and mobile devices starts monitoring your endpoints immediately. Metrics are collected with Prometheus-compatible labels for endpoint, country, ISP, and more.

Step 3

Query & Alert

View real-time dashboards with time-series graphs and geographic heat maps. Query with PromQL. Set up alerts to get notified the moment something goes wrong.
